The town of trogir
Trogir is a unique town on the Adriatic coast, rich with cultural heritage and tradition, which captures the attention of
visitors at the very first glance. Walking among its stone streets, squares, museums, churches, belltowers, towers,
fortresses and palaces is an unforgettable experience, due to which it became a part of the UNESCO's list of World
Heritage Sights in 1997.
The origins of this Dalmatian pearl date back to the 3rd century BC, when the Greeks discovered and occupied the small island on which the town is located, thus spurring its development. Various architectural styles ranging from the Romanesque to Baroque influences are reflected in the façades and in the interiors of numerous historic buildings which, seen through the eyes of the visitors, tell compelling stories about the lives of people who once lived there.
